WORTH CONSUMING!

I’m not a huge fan of “chick” lit. However, I really enjoyed this book. Megan Meade in a house with 7 brothers, the McGowans, hilarity and drama ensue. I grew up with a lot of guy friends and have two younger brothers so I could relate to how boys act around girls. I am also currently witnessing all the flirting and drama that happens when guys and girls start becoming interested in each other since I am currently working at a school. Kate Brian captures the dynamic pretty perfectly. I love the fact that there are 7 boys in her story so she has an outlet for different personalities – one brother, Doug, is a wanna-be gangster ; Miller has a form of autism ; Finn is the artist ; Evan is the jock and Steve is the working man – how many boys do you know who fall into these categories. I love how “Megan” is a very down-to-earth girl – she plays soccer, doesn’t like make-up, is a strong girl but still finding her voice, I think that a lot of girls can relate to that.

It’s definitely worth reading and you won’t want to put it down because Megan and her life with the McGowans’ will keep you engaged – what will happen when she moves to a house with 7 boys? Will anything happen with her and one of the brothers? how will the kids at her new school treat her? You have to read it to find out!
