Rankin’s book will amuse you, especially if you enjoy the many books of Terry Pratchett.

Rankin has a unique brand of humour—I like it. It’s a little sick and twisted, but I still like it! ;-)

It’s, um, interesting. Rather annoying at the beginning, actually, but by the time the book ended I actually liked it.

British wackiness in a similar (but markedly different!) vein to Fforde, Pratchett, and others.

Just started.
The writing may be too smart-arsed and full of itself for its own good. I’m getting a creepy “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” vibe here, and I’m not sure I like it.
