it has such a perfect ending..

This is such a beautiful, sad story. It is the story of an artist who is devoted to the perfection of his art but held back by a world that cannot see the value of his work and a lack of social skills. (as are most artists) It is a story of devotion, a level of dedication to and interest in a single element of life that is far too rare.

The movie Perfume: the story of a murderer is definitely a sublime reflection of the brilliant book by Patrick Süskind. The director of the movie not only managed to describe the story most detailed according to the book; he also captured the whole atmosphere of the book in an extremely vivid way. If you love the book you’ll love the movie. If you haven’t read the book you can still go to the movie – the story is still perfectly understandable.
