It’s been a while since I enjoyed a movie this much. It’s well-written and well-acted and unpredictably hilarious. It makes you feel good without being even the slightest bit hokey.
I’d seen the trailers for this movie, but wasn’t really sure what to expect. It was unbelievably funny. I highly recommend.
I saw this with my sister, and she was laughing so hard. She never laughs out loud during movies, yet this one she was dying it was so funny. One of the best films I’ve seen all year.
This movie was awesome! Just plain hilarious. Great flick…go see it.
One of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Great cast, great story, funny, but serious, includes all elements a good movie should have. Cannot wait to get it on DVD. I’m telling everyone I know to see it.
Easily one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. It’s so clever and so funny, and yet it breaks your heart.
Hilarious, smart, cute, sad, happy…it has everything and everyone. Absolutely perfect and totally worth it!!
This movie was so funny. Every movie being made lately that claims to be about “dysfunctional families” is nothing compared to this!
Not only is it smart, and very funny, it is also quite touching. The perfect blend of deadpan humour, and serious moments (like the one in the diner with the ice cream, or the eye test). The family is a real one – many different characters who are forced to live under the same roof because they are related.
Great casting, a great setting, and a really awesome website as well! But be warned, if you’re not a fan of deadpan humour, you probably wouldn’t like it very much.
With perfect casting, writing and performances, Little Miss Sunshine is a great independent look at a family in trying times as they travel to the “Little Miss Sunshine” contest. The quirky characters aren’t too quirky or over the top and there is a fearless quality to the film that I loved. It’s funny and also a bit touching without ever being too sickly sweet. Dark and warm and beautifully shot, it’s a lot of fun and gives the audience credit for being intelligent and also isn’t afraid to take things to their logical conclusion without second-guessing expectations. A smart comedy that I really enjoyed.
After the stupid hilarity of Talladega Nights, I was ready for something smarter, but just as funny. I got that with Little Miss Sunshine, an original, articulate, laugh riot that is without a doubt the best movie of the year so far by a wide margin. This film is about as perfect as you can get. The cast is awe-inspiring presenting some of the best performances I’ve seen in a very long time. The direction is dead on perfect. The writing is some of the funniest, smartest, most touching, thought-provoking and wildly satirical stuff put on paper in years. It’s the kind of film where, after you’ve seen it, you want to share it with everyone you know, will know, or have ever met. Five stars. Two thumbs up. Pick your cliche, Little Miss Sunshine is the type of brilliantly funny masterpiece that comes along only once in very great while.
I went to see Little Miss Sunshine this evening with Kendra and David. It really is an excellent film. I’m a huge fan of Toni Collette (and not just because she’s Australian), and she does a great job. The film is about a family’s incredibly bad, but incredibly life changing weekend. It’s funny, poignant, and thought-provoking. Well worth the $6 I paid to see it in the cinema.
A very tender movie that we all can relate to. I don’t want to tell you about the plot, because it’s wonderful to see how it unexpectedly develops. The best movie I’ve seen in a theater in a very very long time. You owe it to yourself to go see this movie. I promise you will laugh and cry and feel warm and fuzzy all over.
Little Miss Sunshine was one of the funniest movies I have seen in the past few years. It was also one of the few movies that had both my wife and me laughing out loud in the theatre. The cast was outstanding. Just see it. You know you want to.
