i finally, finally, watched this movie. i think i’ve had it from netflix for 6 months. eh, i was not impressed. this is such a guy movie. even so, i just didn’t understand how de niro went from a slightly “angry at the underbelly of the world guy” to a homicidal maniac. i guess getting dumped by cybil shepherd does that to a guy? speaking of- what guy, even in the 70’s??, brings his perfect love to a porno theatre on their first real date? hmmm…can i start shooting people i find uncool and be a hero for it? i don’t think i’m pretty enough to get away with it. should’ve watched my dvred episodes of boston legal.
