A story about this — 1 year ago
Brutal, depressing and I couldn’t put it down.

I have enjoyed the first two books, preferring the first to the second. But where the first book strayed, this one was strong. So much happens to the land of Westros in this book that it is a completely different place at the end. Magic is awakening and the land is ravaged by civil war. If you cared a bit for the first two, you will love this one.
I just finished the book last night. The storyline is reminding me a little bit of Dune series in the sense that it is (barely) starting to get a little weird/outrageous. But I am still really looking forward to reading the 4th book, which is not something I could say about Dune.
I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Feast for Crows :)
