I completed this today. Quite possibly the best book I’ve ever read.

This will be on my yearly “must re-read” list.

I’d tried reading this a number of years ago but only got about 1/3 of the way through. I remembered liking it, but I probably got distracted or went through one of those non-reading periods.

This time I listened to the audio book. I recommend this highly if you’ve ever had trouble getting through it. The writing style makes it sound like he’s literally sitting next to you telling you the story.

The subtitle of this book is “An Inquiry into Values” and that’s what it is. It’s just a great book to raise some very important questions about the way we frame our lives. One of my favorite books to teach.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This was my first foray into Zen; I’d never been interested up until I read this. I think it was an excellent introduction, and it has probably changed the way I consider values and ethics more than anything else ever has.
