WORTH CONSUMING!

Another by Joseph Ruttenberg, legendary cinematography of such films as Mrs. Miniver, Gaslight, Woman of the Year, and Philadelphia Story, who created visual masterpieces with the seemingly limited palette of black and white. This film was shot on location in New York and had such wonderful shots as up-in-the-air wide shots of a car chase through the canyons of the city. This story was interesting and it was especially interesting getting little glimpses of life in 1950 New York, where a woman could have a baby in a hospital for less than $200 and the difference between the cost of a hospital ward and a private room was $8 a day.
