The REAL reason there's no more Chappelle — 3 years ago
I LOVED the first 2 seasons of the show…and I really wanted these unaired episodes to be just as good..but the truth is it looks like Chappelle and Brennan ran out of good sketches.

Several times a good premise was wasted on bad jokes: The ‘pixie’ sketch is a case in point. Dave played the inner voice of a stereotype that the person the pixie was talking to tried to ignore. For instance, on a plane ride the pixie urged Dave to choose the fried chicken as Dave struggled to avoid the stereotype. The skits just felt unfinished. In one case, the best joke (for the ‘white pixie’) ended up on the cutting room floor. (The white pixie tells a distraught white guy that ‘at least WE still run the world’ after the guy gets penis envy from the black guys at the urinals beside him in the men’s room.)
Many others crossed the line over from edgy into just plain shocking for shock’s sake and weren’t that funny. Dave concluded a sketch about getting revenge now that he was rich by drop-kicking a random infant. There was no context for Dave to be mad at the kid or even the kid’s mom..he just does it.
BOTTOM LINE:
I only laughed really hard about twice. There’s nothing as funny as the “Nger Family”,the blind black ‘white power’ advocate, or the sketch with Wayne Brady turned ‘gangsta’ from the first 2 seasons. This one’s worth skipping.
