Quick and dull — 3 years ago
For being 460 pages, this book read very quickly. The fact that it was written in 3rd grade english and was deviod of any thought provoking material must have had something to do with this as well.
Why were nearly all of the women explicitly described as golen haired and slim? Of course the one that wasn’t was obsessed with her weight. Why were all of the guys “hunky”? With such shallow two dimentional characters, I am left wishing that they all died of radiation poisoning.
What was the point of this story? Most of the “plotline” was irrelevant. In many books I would expect this text to go into character development; not here. It just went into unimportant, I hesitate to use the word, sub-plots.
This was my first Ben Bova book and I am fairly sure it will be my last. How this man won numerous awards for his work is beyond me.
