this was a crappy story told very well. a cia within the cia?!? oooooooo!!! scarrry!!
but the subtleties throughout the film made it worth watchin. the romance is very interesting, and i love max von sydow’s character. yea, its a little long, and the ending is kinda dumb, but this is robert redford in his heyday, and what a day he heyed. obviously suberbly directed by sydney pollack (did he make a ‘bad’ movie? ever), and i can imagine how this movie would have turned out in the hands of almost anyone else.

I wouldn’t say it was terrible, but it sort of bored me. Maybe I’m not a big “spy movie” person, but I really didn’t feel the suspense, and the relationship between the guy and the girl was very strange to say the least.
