Relative Stranger - A review — 2 years ago
WORTH CONSUMING!
I found this book sort of self-indulgent. It was interesting enough, and certainly explored the author’s relationship with her sister and with mental illness, but I don’t think it does a lot of what it purports to do, at least not to me. What I mean to say is that it doesn’t give the insight into schizophrenia that it tries to. Or any insight, maybe.
On the other hand, it is an interesting read, and you feel for the author/narrator. The story of her grief is the realest of all of them.
