WORTH CONSUMING!

This book can really change the way you see the Internet, and the ongoing struggle to make it the best environment possible.

Too many of us (myself included) get caught up in the libertarian view that the Internet is free, and it should be kept free of reguluation. The market will take care of itself.

Lessig shows us that while that is a nice ideal, it doesn’t translate. Cyberspace is not natural. It was created, and can be controlled if we don’t work to stop it and make sure our values are known.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Excellent introduction to Internet legal issues; I especially liked the “Four Puzzles from Cyberspace.” The Future of Ideas better covers the issues Lessig has currently championed, though.
