I liked this sequel to “Dhampir” very much. It was great to read more about the development of Magiere and Leesil and learn more about Chap’s secrets. I enjoyed reading more about characters from the last book and the bits and pieces that were provided about Leesil’s past and new characters that were introduced whet the appetite for the third book in the series. It did take awhile until the action started. I liked learning more about Welstiel and I’m curious what exactly he’s up to…

Leesil & Magiere have settled in Miiska when they are called away to rid the King’s town of Bela of the undead. Good follow-up to Dhampir, looking forward to book 3.
