Happenstance — 2 years ago
This is a cute movie. I really liked how they made a point of connecting almost all of the characters in the film to one another. It was kinda like because of one mishap, another happens, and then another…etc., until the two intended lovers finally meet one another.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the ending seemed abrupt and that you only get to see the semi-conclusion of only two of the characters. What about the cheating husband and his mistress, or the roommate that kicks Audrey Tautou out and then is left stranded on the street, or the liar and his dying grandmother and all her money? All of the sub-plots kind of left me wanting and expecting more of a grand conclusion, but all we get is the two characters turning around to see each other do a double take and then cut scene, fade to black.
Still, even with the unsatisfying ending it was interesting to watch all these lives intersect through seemingly innocuous events.
