I think that the Rabbit books may have been more relevant for my father – always a huge fan of Updike – than for me. The suburban life described is far from my own reality and feels stifling to me. The books are well written however.

I didn’t really know anything about this book when I started. The writing is more detailed than the Updike short stories I’ve read. I’m almost halfway through and nothing much has happened. I keep getting more and more drawn into it, though.

Excellent… can’t decide if I love or hate Rabbit, but I must read the rest of these.

It was pretty good, however, I’m not sure if I want to continue with the rest of the books covering Rabbit Angstrom’s life.
