What I learned while reading “A Painted House’ by John Grisham:
1.) The 1952 World Series was played between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers.
2.) Before the Cardinals played in Busch Stadium, they played in Sportsmans Park.
3.) Cotton is picked off the bole.

Excellent but it leaves the end a bit too open for my liking, hasn’t put me off reading more John Grisham though, he is a legend!

Such a cliffhanger novel. But I think what makes a cliffhanger novel so good to read is that the reader is allowed to use his imagination to tie up all the loose ends, and maybe figure out a possible ending for the story itself. After all, it’s much better to read a novel like this than to read a happily-ever-after story that lacks spirit and its ending is somewhat rushed.
I love the Mexicans. I love their character. Even Cowboy too, when he’s good and not doing evil stuff :)
The baseball part, though… I was trying to understand how it was being played!
And I finished this book by 6 days! It’s amazing what determination can do to you haha.
