WORTH CONSUMING!

Though in many ways this ould be viewed as a rip-off of Harry Potter (a kid with hair like a mop who lives with his snarky relatives discovers he has magical talent and goes off to a semi-boarding school), the feel of the story is very, very different. Hogwarts has Snape and Draco and such, but it’s still a very friendly, safe place. Bloor’s Academy is unfriendly, and fraught with dangers. In this world, we’re not in a bright world where evil has been defeated by our hero.

The only qualm I have with this book is how short it is. It looks long, but it could really be much, much more verbose. Of course, they can’t all be Lord of the Rings.
