I had gotten a little sick of books in Oprah’s Book Club, so anytime I saw them anywhere, I cringed and walked away. I am glad I changed my mind with this book.

March was in love with Hollis when she was younger, but he went away. She decided to marry someone else and leave her hometown. She comes back for a funeral, and she finds Hollis again. Their meeting was described “too quickly”, so it made things a little harder to believe in the book. However, everything else was very gripping and interesting. I was able to really get into these characters and feel like I understood them. I don’t feel that way very easily.

The ending was somewhat predictable, but it did not ruin anything for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!
