good introduction — 1 year ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

For someone who doesn’t have an interest in reading the book, but wanted more information this was a good introduction.

Though why on earth they felt the need to show gratuitous stripper scenes, I don’t know. It’s not like we didn’t know what they were referring to and it was only tangentially related to the story. I find it sad that a documentary on fraud had completely gratuitous sexual objectification of women! Not only did it not add anything but it cheapened the film and made me less likely to show it to teens who should learn about this kind of corruption.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

With the amount of GOOD films out there, esp. documentaries, you can find out everything that happened quicker just by looking it up on line on Wikipedia! I tried to watch this no less than 3 times and each time I did get a little further but could never seem to finish it. So I sent it back.

WORTH CONSUMING!

This is definitely Enron Lite, which is not a criticism. Whenever people start talking about Energy futures, etc, my eyes glaze over. Gave a broad outline of one of the most tragic crimes of our recent time.

Not a particularly well-made documentary, but one that did help me understand the issues surrounding the scandal—which I hadn’t really paid attention to before.
