November 2004 – Hardback. I really enjoyed this book. I have been dissapointed in Cornwell’s last several books but for some reason this one was a lot better. Maybe it’s that they finally quit with the Jean Baptiste character and she is no longer mourning over Benton. Lots of things about this book are silly and unrealistic but in a way I didn’t mind. The characters are engaging and the plotline keeps you going. I even had a bad dream related to the plot, and that is unusual for me even though I read lots of mysteries. ;)
