I’d recommend this to anyone interested in Hinduism, especially in the visual aspects of the images and in the power of the image in Hinduism. The author also talks a lot about puja. It doesn’t take that long to read compared to other books on the subject. I had to read this for a class in school. A lot of the stuff was repetition of other books on Hinduism. The new stuff for me was all the stuff about consecration of Hindu temples.
