I had high hopes for this. I had read 100 Year of Solitude first, and loved it and expected something as mindblowing as that. Not to mention all the raves about it – as the best book by Marquez and such things. In the end this didn’t grab me at all. Once I finished the book all I could go was just … eh? Not a good sign for any book!
