I think this was more a waste of my time rather than time well spent in reading it. There are a few things I picked up here, especially the part about smoking tells, but other than that, it seems hastily put-together and leaky around the edges.

I think I’m just more used to reading stricter anthropological books than this, but as an introduction for someone who hasn’t been yet introduced, it may be a fair start.

It tries to pack a lot into a very short book, or at least that’s the way it seems to me. Maybe not as backed-up with references as I would like, but then I’ve also been reading Desmond Morris.

A little too populist, wish there were some illustrations instead of paragraphs of “and this means this… except when it could be this”.
