I always suspected that Karen Armstrong’s Books would be too dense and abstract for me, but if they’re half as thoughtful and engaging as this was, I’ve been missing out.

A wonderfully engrossing memoir, tracking the author’s evolving opinion and attitude of and to not only religion but to herself as well. It’s thoroughly engaging and incredibly resonant for those who were ever disillusioned about their faith.
