A story about this — 2 years ago
“We begin every act of choice and avoidance from pleasure, and it is to pleasure that we return using our experience of pleasure as the criterion of every good thing”
Epicurus
I know you will probably find it hard to believe that a woman of such fine character as I could have any flaws, but let me assure you, it is true. In fact when I was a child, my own father couldn’t bear to dine with my siblings and I because we were so gauche as to eat with our mouths open, talking and laughing, accidentally spraying his person on occasion. Just the other day I chuckled as I tired of chasing a kernel of corn on my plate and I finally succumbed to picking it up with my fingers. I fear my manners are quite atrocious at times. Ah well, I was eating alone and enjoyed every bit of it. And I did use my napkin afterwards.
