Two Parted — 34 weeks ago

The first part is great, very intense and dramatic. The second part I could hardly wait to get it over with!

Regardless, Smilla is an awesome character and worth reading just to get to know her. To make things easier… you just might want to watch the movie instead. I think it’s a bit better, really!

WORTH CONSUMING!

I think I may have been too distracted by outside stuff to get as absorbed as I would liked by this book. I liked the plot and the adventure aspects, but the present-tense writing, which usually gets on my nerves, didn’t help me as a reader, though I can see where it was used for atmosphere.
