WORTH CONSUMING!

It took over a year…but I’m finally done the series. The reason for so long, school work gets in the way!

I was a little disappointed by the ending…maybe if I was a little younger it would have been exciting, but the whole christian undertone sent my cynical side in motion. Besides that I’m glad I read all 7 books, I think everyone should read them!!!

So far I’ve read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and The Magician’s Nephew. Now I’m going to follow the original chronology, so I’m going to read The Prince Caspian now.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I had been urged to read this book for a few years now, and the release of the movie this year prompted me to purchase it.

My experience was inconsistent: the stories without the Pevensies were excellent but the others were rather underwhelming. The very ending of “Last Battle” made up for a lot—I appreciate a good finish—but I wouldn’t enthusiastically recommend it.

I guess I’m too old and cynical to happily accept such clumsily executed Christian doctrine dressed as fiction. Jesus’ parables were more subtle.

I have to finish the last book. The Horse and His Boy was my favorite. Beautiful.

Gotta get back on track with this series. I’m currently on book number three. The Horse and His Boy.
