“The Two Pound Tram” is a wonderful book. It’s understated with a simple storyline. There’s an old fashioned elegance to the writing yet it draws you in, quickly becoming an unputdownable book whose characters captivate you and make you care about them. It’s fiction but somewhere in there it feels like a true story coming out.

It’s been a while since I enjoyed a book so much or read a book that stayed with me after I’d read the last page.

I hope William Newton writes some more.
