i’ve heard rave reviews for a long time about this book. i understand now. it’s not something you have to read cover to cover to appreciate. it is laid out topically. i think the ideas a’ kempis lays out are revolutionary and hard core. it was written for novice monks. guess the fact that i think it lays out hard core ideas makes me a novice!
