Well, I finally finished this. I hardly remembered who everyone was when I started, and the book didn’t help much. As usual, Jordan is still opening up more threads, with little indication that he’s anywhere near finishing. The ending was decent, but very little happened until that point, and some of the major plotlines were completely ignored.

These books are awful!
I just finished Winter’s Heart and I feel exactly the same!! He’s constantly adding new characters and new names its almost impossible to keep track of everyone. He should supply a roster or lineup card to go with these books!! I don’t know why I keep reading them. The characters keep doing dumb things or things totally out of character and then somehow are miraculously rescued or captured, it seems random which is going to happen.
Avoid these books if you can, there are much much better fantasy series available (George Martin or Robin Hobb for example).
