WORTH CONSUMING!
This tribute to the silent era of film is done in such an engaging way, one almost wishes the soundless form would return. But as artfully as this movie has been made, those days are past and this retrospective pays perfect homage to the bygone age when winks, shoulder shrugs, raised eyebrows and theatrical gestures told the tale instead of voices. Bravo to all involved in this marvelous production. As Malcom McDowell said in the bonus footage, “The Artist” will be around and referenced for many many years to come.
