A story about this — 1 year ago
This easily could have been titled “Feast of Heartbreak.” In half a dozen relationships, love/happiness and loss/sadness are linked at the hip. Morgan Freeman provides the main reason to watch this – the man can do no wrong. But I hated it that Katheryn’s story was scarcely followed at all after she finds her love interest, and Bat’s loss is never fully explored so it is hard to get his rage/anger toward women (show, don’t tell). Ah well, it’s simply a case of biting off too much to chew for director Robert Benton.
