I’m giving up just for now. I don’t think I’m quite ready for Jane Austen. Maybe in a few years, but not yet. I know it sounds silly, but I know I can learn to love it.

Is this your first Austen?
Mansfield Park is a bit more ‘stern’ than her other novels. I’d recommend Emma as a first introduction to Austen, it’s a fun read. And if you liked the movie Clueless, that one is loosely based on Emma.
