I would not say that this is not worth reading, because it certainly is. This is a collection of well-written essays from The New Yorker detailing life and the people of early 20th century New York City. I wish there were a third option beyond worth consuming/not worth consuming, because this collection would be worthwhile reading for anyone with a strong interest in the subject matter. Which just isn’t me, right now.
