WORTH CONSUMING!

If for nothing else, I loved the old San Francisco scenes. I even think some of the film was shot very near where I first landed in SF, right by Taylor Street in Nob Hill.
Steve M is a little wooden for my tastes.

All about the car...

...and one of the best chase sequences in film history. (Which owes so much to those streets of San Francisco.) I get what you’re saying about McQueen being wooden, but that was so much the style back then. Cool calm and collectied was probably more what they were after, but I get wooden.

The car chase was cool. Even more memorable for almost the total lack of soundtrack over it.
How MANY carchase scenes have we scene with the cars bounded over the dips going downhill on SF streets?
Some parodies, and some down-right rip-offs evidently.

Funniest car chase...

...has got to be the one in the Blues Brothers; also ripped off (parodied, paid homage to) many times. Weren’t all the Diry Harry flicks in San Fran as well? Definitely some car chases there.
