$28 @ American Apparel
this is definitely for a person like me who doesn’t want an overly environmental-looking reusable bag (not that i have anything against recycling signs, but i just don’t want it on my shopping bags!).
i use it:
as my regular bag
to hold my cameras
at the grocery store
at the public library
for carrying work lunch
this bag looks cute enough to take out as your normal bag which makes it versatile. i take it whenever i go to the grocery store now. this holds just the right amount of things when i need just a few items. i suppose getting 1 or 2 more bags would suffice for more groceries, but that’s because i’m not shopping for a family or anything.
this bag is made from bull denim woven cotton construction which means it’s very sturdy and durable. also, it doesn’t really lose its shape. i propped it up while checking out and it stayed open like a brown paper bag, but with the shape of a plastic grocery bag. at first i was afraid to put heavy items into it. i thought the handles wouldn’t be able to take the pressure, but they are sturdy as well.
what i put into my bag on a grocery trip:
sliced turkey breast
small tub of hummus
package of strawberries
medium bag full of grapes
sourdough boule (round bread)
carrying it from the store to my car didn’t feel bad at all.
that being said, the only negative thing about this bag is the price. it’s $28 and while i love it, i don’t think it’s worth the full price ;/ i probably will be willing to purchase two more because in the end because i think they’re the best reusable bags out there.
