WORTH CONSUMING!
Anna of Byzantium is the story of an exiled Princess and how she went from being heir to the throne to being forced to retreat to a convent away from palace life. The narrative details her childhood and revolves around her education and the actions of her manipulative grandmother and brother. I enjoyed this book very much. Anna is a very fleshed out character—a good mix of noble qualities and flaws. It is hard not to sympathize with her as her planned life crumbles around her. Very good book! I’d love to see a movie made out of it. Read December 2008
