Don't read this book. — 4 years ago
WORTH CONSUMING!
Karin Slaughter made a big mistake when she finished this book the way she did. I know that she is an author that needs that one last thrilling event on the last page, but this was ridiculous.
If you have read any of her other “Grant County” books, STOPAFTERREADING “FAITHLESS”. It’s not worth dedicating the several hours it takes to read “Beyond Reach”, only to get to the second-to-last page, to see that all of the stuff the characters have gone through in the first five books is pointless.
I honestly can’t see how she can be writing a seventh book (“Genesis”, coming out in 2009)… unless maybe she’s thinking about making the last 2 pages of this book a dream sequence.
Yeah, don’t read it.

Yikes! Now that I know where Karin Slaughter has gone with her series, it makes sense that this book ended the way it did. Oh well! It was worth consuming, but only if you read the next 2 books that come after it. Don’t give up on Karin Slaughter!
