A story about this — 21 weeks ago
Nom nom nom :P
I won’t touch regular pâté – it’s just too bleugh a thought, and really not necessary. Nor was I really craving an alternative, but this was sitting in a friend’s fridge and came with full recommendations!
It’s pretty tasty, although could be a bit too tomato-y in large doses – I did find it too much until I got used to the flavour a bit. Alas, it does require using within 2 days, which is a bit much for me.
I tried it on seeded rivita, with cucumber slices. Better on chunks of french bread.
Overall: liked it, something a bit different, but an odd thing to find a ‘use’ for, really. And I avoided looking at the nutritional bit, so I can’t even say if it was good/bad for me!

You should try
sundried tomato hummus—now THAT is worthy of consumption. We really do need a Trader Joes over here! That hummus on their refried bean chips? sigh
I wonder how hard it would be to make hummus at home?

Abs will know!
Sainsbo (where I got the pâté) had such a huge range of hummuses that I was overwhelmed and just bought the regular stuff – I’ll go back in feeling more brave and start working my way through the range ;)
