A story about this — 21 weeks ago
I chose Wishy-Washy for this movie. I definitely have mixed feelings about it. I remember all my friends went and saw it in theatres without me and I was pretty upset. Everyone always raved about how great and funny it was, and I always liked the idea of the film.
I finally rented it and watched it by my lonesome last night, ha. It felt kind of weird, and I couldn’t decide whether Juno’s character was insanely annoying and immature, or intelligent and funny. I disliked the way she talked sometimes, but at the same time it was witty and selective.
Well, either way, it really all boils down to whether or not I would buy the movie or not, and I don’t think I would unless it was for five bucks or so.

I agree with this in that I think she was insanely annoying and immature. I didn’t like the movie at all, anyway.

I thought Juno was Pretty Mature....
because she kept emphasizing that she knew, at the age of 16, that she was too young to be a parent to her baby. I see way too many friends of my kids getting pregnant and keeping their babies, so I thought that the overall message of the film was good, in that it encouraged adoption rather than abortion or being a teenaged mom. Part of the point is that Juno wanted to keep being a kid, and she knew that she certainly wasn’t ready to have a kid of her own!

I know what the point of the movie was. But her character was just annoying sometimes.
One of my best friends had twins when she was 15 and she is an awesome mom.
