Every once in a while I stumble across a line that really kicks my ass and makes me wish I’d thought of it, that if I ever think of anything that good ever I’ll die happy.

There’s a point midway in here describing the protagonist’s relationship to the phone that isn’t ringing with a call from his missing wife. The phone is compared to a disguised sea creature at the bottom of th ocean that could come to life and change everything in an instant. I refrain from quoting it directly to encourage you to pick up the book and read it yourself.
