Bone to Ashes by Kathy Reichs - 10th in a Series — 16 weeks ago
WORTH CONSUMING!
Forensic anthropologist Temperance “Tempe” Brennan is back again in Kathy Reich’s most recent work. The main character is flawed but making an effort and her life is interwoven in the mystery in every book. Since she deals with death in her job, the books all have their gruesome aspects. I like that fact that she moves between North Carolina & Montreal and injects little bits of French Canadian as well as local history.

I’ve read the first two in the series and then sort of lost interest because the science stuff doesn’t thrill me. But I have a couple more on my TBR shelf, so maybe I will give them another try. I do like her descriptions of locations and the switch between Montreal and NC.

The characters are well developed and interesting. I do like the mystery aspect more than the scientific descriptions.
