i loved this book! i felt it was on par with the odd thomas series. the language was fluid and beautiful. i’ve been reading the left behind books and quickly recognized that it was the devil and not aliens which made me feel good. i liked how when we learned that and thought about when the people were either laughing or screaming when they were being taken away, it was because they were going to heaven or hell. molly and neil had the kind of relationship i want. once again it reminded me of stormy and odd’s relationship. both were clearly soul mates. such strength and love. i thought it was clever how molly’s father’s name was render. he basically renders her immobile. he was such a good character. not a lot was written about him yet from the moment he is seen jogging down the road in the rain he exudes evil. to be able to write like that- what a gift. excellent book. quick read. sucks you in from the first page.
