“Sweeney Todd” is one of my all-time favorite stage shows, and I was doubtful that the movie version would measure up. I need not have worried. Tim Burton and cast have stayed true to Sondheim’s original material while adding all the right cinematic touches. Not for the faint of heart, but superbly done!
