We just got a new home theater system and this was the first DVD we played – a great choice for the music and wonderful theatrical dance numbers. Travolta was a kick as Tracy’s mom, even if he dropped in and out of voice. He moved like a real BBW. Christopher Walken was a gas as the father, too, especially when he gets vamped inside the Hardy Har Hut by Michelle Pheiffer. And Queen Latifah rocked the screen, as ever. Although it’s primarily a musical comedy, the early 1960’s racial integration theme hits home, too. If you like Broadway productions, this is a must see.
