WORTH CONSUMING!

Scoopies is a great little product: Biodegradable bags for your pets (cats, dogs, as well as other pets). They degrade within 6 months to a year or more, depending on the exposure. As opposed to non-degradable plastics that take 500 to 1000 years to degrade, while releasing chemicals into the ground and polluting our planet, and “jamming” our already overflowing, expanding and multiplying landfills.

Other great bio bags: small bags you can get from stores, such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Jean-Coutu, HMV, Metro, Natural Food Pantry, and much, much more. I use those often. Or the bags that the PubliSac comes in – it’s biodegradable now!

Check with stores where you like to shop and ask them if they have biodegradable bags – if not, suggest them that they do!

Other great bags (right size and length) but not biodegradable yet, but hopefully soon: Subway, newspaper bags (Ottawa Citizen & Sun – I live in Hull QC, near Ottawa) – I’ve sent them all emails suggesting them to make their bags biodegradable.

Do the same in your town!

Next: Sending emails to bread companies…. so many great poop bags!

Thanks for reading and be green!
