This was a good story written in the sort of flowery prose that I would normally detest but set in a time where it was just right. We follow Max Tivoli as he follows his love in a life that, too all outward observers, he’s living in reverse. Not an “OHMYGOSH GO OUT AND BUY THIS NOW!” book. If you can fit it into your reading schedule, it’s worth a serious look.
