I liked it anyway but the entire plot was improbable, the relationships contrived, and the constant monologues were desperate and annoying. This wasn’t Cameron’s best work, or anyone else’s for that matter, but the script pushing all the characters together didn’t help the acting. I enjoyed Kate Winslet’s character, only because I could relate to her in some ways.

Cameron Diaz’s life trailers were a lovely touch, innovative and amusing. Not to mention the line: “You look like my Barbie!”

In other words, it’s not a quality film (not that many chick flicks are even near quality films) but it’s better than staring at a ceiling for a few hours. Or it might just be Jude Law <3
