It really is worth it
C.S. Lewis is a theologian’s theologian in that he gets that our failures of faith don’t derive so much from the “big sins” we commit as from the little omissions of doing what we should or the mischaracterizations we make of trying to pat God on the head and consider Him the “Good Guy Upstairs” rather than Someone we should relate to on an everyday basis and put our trust in continually. This book makes you think.
If you read and like this one, there’s another like it (“The Devil’s Inbox”) that puts a more contemporary spin on the topic. I also felt it had quite a bit to say.
